2. How do I book your services for my event?

It’s easy to book our services for your event: (a) First, fill in the information on the “contact us” page on the KCA site. Then click on “submit”; (b) Katherine will call you promptly with a price quote based on your event information. She will answer any questions that you have about our services at this time; (c) We will fax or email you a contract upon your request.

3. What is the best way for me to communicate with you about my event?

You are welcome to contact Katherine by email, phone or in person (by appointment only).

4.Does your contracted amount include your musician’s travel and set-up time?

Yes it does.

5. How much deposit do I need to secure your services for my event?

We ask for a deposit of 50%. To secure our services for your date, just mail your deposit to Katherine’s Concert Associates with your signed contract.

6. How do I go about selecting the music for my event? Do you play requests?

There are a number of different options for selecting your music: (a) If you would like, Katherine will easily choose your music for you. Just give her a general idea of the kind of music you like; (b) Or, you can choose the music yourself from our representative music lists; (c) Or you can schedule a phone appointment or a personal consultation with Katherine to help you choose your music. At this time, she can play melodies of many different pieces for you on her violin by heart. You will be able to hear and compare them and know which ones you prefer. This is easy and fun!

Please note: For prelude music, cocktail hours and receptions, we do like your input of the type of music you want with some of your specific requests from our music lists. You will not need to choose and orchestrate all of the music for your event, however. Because of our years of experience, we prefer choosing most of the music based on your general preferences and a few of your requests. We do encourage your specific requests for your wedding ceremony music, because your wedding ceremony is very personal. Yes, we do play requests!

7. What is the attire of the musicians?

For the ladies, the dress is elegant semi-formal or formal long black. The men wear tuxes.

8. What time do Katherine’s Concert Associates musicians arrive before the event?

Our musicians are scheduled to be at the venue to set-up at least a half-hour prior to their contracted play time.

Our fullest, richest sounding ensembles are our string quartet and our quartet with flute and strings.

We do not provide amplification because amplification needs to be provided by a professional audio specialist, a DJ or a band. Many hotels and venues provide audio services. A DJ or a band often provides amplification for weddings ceremonies and cocktail receptions. Please ask Katherine if you will need amplification for your event. It will depend on the number of guests you are expecting and the size of the room or outdoor space your event is in.
